Alberta man Kidnapped

Bizarre kidnapping

R-C-M-P have charged a 49-year-old man in the bizarre kidnapping earlier this month of a  Alberta businessman.

Larry Hugh McClelland has been charged with abduction, forcible confinement, extortion and various firearms offences.

Blair Vold, the owner of one of Canada's largest cattle auction houses, says he was abducted by a gun-toting man who bound him and drove him to a nearby bank.

Vold says he got away when the gunman went into the bank to use his pin number to take money from his account.
