She says running for the Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA position has been an amazing experience so far.
Douglass says she recently moved to Sylvan Lake and notes she has a passion for politics.

When speaking to residents in the Innisfail-Sylvan Lake riding ahead of the by-election, Douglass says the top issues that have come up are economic recovery, health care pressures that are being put on Red Deer, care for Alberta's seniors, and rural crime.
The other candidates running in the July 12th byelection for the Innisfail-Sylvan Lake riding include Nicole Mooney with the NDP, Independent David Inscho, Nick Jansen with the Alberta Liberals and Devin Dreeshen is the United Conservative Party candidate.
