4-H Foundation of Alberta Delivering $80,000 In Scholarships This Year

Alberta rural farm youth who are no older than 25 are eligable to apply for a new 4-H scholarship starting on May 1st.

A new 4-H scholarship is worth a total of $80,000 and applications open soon.
 
Chief Executive Officer of the 4-H Foundation of Alberta Leah Jones says a total of 10 scholarships will be handed out.
 
 

 
Jones notes the a new scholarship called the Elmer and Ona Hansen Memorial Scholarship.

 

 

She says the awarded amounts were a stipulation of the family and they also wanted to support Alberta rural farm youth who want to pursue a post secondary education. Jones calls it a wonderful opportunity for youth.

 

 

Jones adds the scholarship will continue after this year and every year thereafter with the $80-thousand dollar total.

 

 

The scholarship is open to all Alberta rural farm youth who are no older than 25, have graduated or will be graduating high school, and are entering their first year of post secondary education.

To apply for the scholarship visit www.4h.ab.ca. Applications can be submitted starting on May 1st and the deadline is June 30th.
