21st Annual Innisfail RCMP Charity Checkstop Results

On Saturday, December 17th a total of more than $12,000 in cash and cheques was collected during the Innisfail Charity Checkstop.

Mounties say an addtional four truckloads of toys & clothes as well as 1100 pounds of food was also donated by the citizens of Innisfail and the surrounding area.

The charitable organizations that the money and items will be provided to are the Innisfail Food Bank, the Christmas Bureau, the Women's Outreach Society plus Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Innisfail.

Innisfail RCMP would like to thank the following businesses for providing donations: Nestle Purina, Co-op, Subway, A&W, Napa, 7-11, Kal-Tire, McDonalds, Dairy Queen, the Innisfail Legion and Completo Cater.

Mounties would also like to acknowledge the numerous volunteers, without whom this event would not be possible. That list included representatives from Victim Services, Guardian Ambulance, Innisfail Peace Officers, the Fire Department, the Christmas Bureau, the Food Bank and Women's Outreach.

Innisfail RCMP also thank Richard Foesier for being Santa Clause and Kaitlin Fraser for being the Safety Bear.
