More than 1000 cyclists are expected to make their way from Calgary to Sundre and back on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th during the 2019 Enbridge Ride To Conquer Cancer.
The 2019 Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer rolls through the region this weekend.
Cyclists will leave from the Rocky Ridge YMCA in Calgary at 7am on Saturday, August 17th to begin the ride to Sundre and back.
Ryan Campbell - Director of Corporate Relations with the Alberta Cancer Foundation - says they will have a camp set up at the Sundre Rodeo Grounds.
According to Campbell, over the last decade they have raised an amazing total of $74 million dollars through this event to help Albertans who are facing cancer.
Campbell hopes they will have 1400 or 1500 cyclists participating in the 200 kilometer Enbridge Ride To Conquer Cancer this year.
He says lots of signs will be posted along the route they will be taking from Calgary to Sundre.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the riders and take alternate routes if possible.
