2018 Olds College Fall Golf Classic

The temperatures dipped and the conditions were blustery, but the rain held off for Olds College's 2018 Fall Golf Classic. Linda Henderson - Director of Broncos Athletics - thanks the members of the community who bundled up and came out to support OC's athletes.

Accountability, integrity, passion and pride are among the key words that represent the Olds College Broncos Athletic program, according to Linda Henderson.

Henderson is the Director of Broncos Athletics. She thanks the community and surrounding area for coming out and supporting Olds College's fundraising tournament on Wednesday, September 12th at the Olds Golf Club.

Henderson says this is an exciting time of year with a fresh start ahead for many of Olds College's sports teams.

She says the golf tourney helps fund about half of the scholarship offerings they have available for the Broncos sports teams.

Olds College began the ACAC soccer season at home last weekend with the women's team defeating Medicine Hat College 2-1 and playing to a 1-all draw with Lethbridge College. The Broncos men's soccer team fell 2-nil versus the Rattlers and lost 2-1 to the Kodiaks.

This weekend Olds College will host soccer action against Red Deer College on Saturday, September 15th and Lakeland College on Sunday, September 16th. Both days the women's game will start at noon followed by the men at 2pm.
