10th Annual Summer Synergy

Hundreds of youth in agriculture will arrive in Olds from July 8-12th for the 10th anniversary edition of Summer Synergy.

Summer Synergy will bring hundreds of youth in agriculture to the Olds Regional Exhibition grounds again this year.

Tracy Gardner with the ORE says the town of Olds has become very well known as a gathering place for livestock events, competitions and training.

She notes this year they reach a special milestone.

Because of the collaboration between 4-H Alberta, Olds College, the Calgary Stampede, and ORE - Gardner notes they will be sending 55 of the top youth at Summer Synergy to the Stampede for the Grandstand Show in Calgary on Saturday, July 13th.

She says if you would like to check out truly the best of the best of their young leaders then stop by the ORE grounds from Monday through Friday.

Gardner adds one of the motto's of Summer Synergy is educate, compete and achieve.

During the past decade, she says over $676,000 in scholarships has been awarded to over 520 youth in agriculture. In that time over 3200 have competed at the event.

Gardner encourages everyone to follow Summer Synergy on Facebook and Instagram throughout the 10th annual event.

Summer Synergy is free to the public and there is free parking.
